Why is my wheel not touching the ground?

A stroller is one of the most basic stuff that a parent should purchase for their youngster especially if the parent spends most of their time outdoors. However having a stroller at times may be frustrating to the parent especially in a case where it is broken or there is a faulty part which causes the stroller not to function as it is supposed to. One of the most popular stroller issues is the fact that there are some wheels within the stroller which are not touching the ground. This often makes it hard for the parent or any other individual to operate the stroller.

There are a significant number of reasons why your stroller wheel is not touching the ground. The first reason may be that the wheels were not properly installed. Both front and back wheels should have arrows which point towards the direction in which the wheel brakes should face. This will act as a guide in diagnosing whether the wheels were properly installed or not. Another reason why the wheel is not touching the ground is because the wheel is not correctly centered. This may be brought about by the fact that the wheel is not tight enough or the chain tension pulls off the wheel from the centre. Therefore it is advisable to look at the stroller from behind and if you notice the wheel is off to one side then this is the major cause of your wheel not touching the ground.

When the stroller wheels are not placed in the order they should be then the wheels may not touch the ground since each stroller wheel is designed to fit a specific part of the stroller whether front or the back. Therefore when you notice that the wheels are not touching the ground, it is advisable to look if all the wheels are placed correctly as most of the time the wheels are indicated whether they are front or back wheels. When the front or back forks are facing the wrong may cause the stroller wheels not touch the ground. It is therefore advisable to loosen the handle bar and turn the wheel to a three hundred and sixty degree turn. This will allow the wheel to be in its correct position and it can touch the ground thus reducing inconveniences for the individual pushing the stroller.

All stroller wheels should be placed on the ground level which means that they should be firmly screwed in order for them to move on the ground level. In cases where the wheels are not properly screwed in place will make the stroller wheels loose and at the same time this will make the wheels not touch the ground therefore hindering movement of both the parent and their youngster. This is often brought about by the fact that strollers are used in different types of terrain for example it can be used in the park where there are small rocks which may cause the wheels to become loose.
